8 cup "plum star" cafetiere

Hello I have just purchased a new 8 cup "plum star" cafetiere and as with all previous 'La Cafetiere' products I have owned, the quality is excellent. I do have one comment/query about this particular cafetiere... The knob on the top of the stem has a thread that runs in the same direction as the thread holding the filter onto the plunger. This means that when dis-assembling the filter for cleaning, the knob comes off and it is then very difficult to remove the filter. May I recommend that future production of the stem has an opposing thread for the knob to attach, enabling the filter unit to be removed more easily.

It has been awhile already that I trying to get a replacement beaker to my 8 cup LaCafetiere and everywhere I looked it is out of stock. Can you please advise? I would love to find a replacement!!!

I recently aquired a chocolatiere and Cafetiere from your company and can honestly say I've never been so impressed with both the product and the service. So, a very many thanks and look forward to shopping with you again. Only minor complaint would be that I found the comment in the Chocolatiere box a little O.T.T. Wouldn't be overly easy to pass on to a friend as a prezzie with that inside! :)
