La Cafetiere BVEveryone at La Cafetière is very excited this month as we have made the acquisition of Randwyck B.V.

Please see below the announcement from La Cafetière's Managing Director Lew Bingham.

Dear Customers

We are delighted to announce that La Cafetière has acquired the business and assets of Randwyck B.V., a family-owned company based in Maastricht, Holland with over 40 years' experience specialising in the supply of high quality borosilicate glass teaware. The Randwyck range will further enhance and extend La Cafetière's existing portfolio of products, which is currently primarily focused on coffee.

Randwyck is a very well established retail brand with an excellent reputation for quality and service. The synergy between it and La Cafetière is ideal as it provides us with the opportunity to both not only extend the product range but also to expand geographically.

The newly formed business of La Cafetière B.V. will operate from Randwyck's existing premises in Maastricht which, being close to the borders of France, Germany and Belgium, is very well placed for distribution of the integrated product range throughout mainland Europe.

This acquisition will create significant benefits for our customers. We will be able to channel Randwyck goods into our own traditional markets of the UK, USA and Scandinavia. Also, we are also committed to a substantial investment programme from which customers can expect improved service levels and innovative new product development, both key elements of our on-going marketing strategy.

About Randwyck:

Randwyck was the name of the outermost fortifications of the town of Maastricht, a toponym that first appears on maps from the 17th century. Four hundred years later Randwyck is a dynamic and exciting quarter of Maastricht and the name of the company.

Established in 1967, Randwyck grew into an international company, specialising in the development and marketing of products for the consumption of tea and coffee, made from heat resistant glass. The core product range focuses on coffee pots, teapots and glasses, but also as a natural extension: trays, coasters, spoons and other related accessories.

Randwyck is an international leader in product innovation and strongly believes in the importance of ergonomics, the environment, and price/quality ratio in product design. Close supervision of product manufacture, and internal logistical expertise working in partnership with suppliers and customers in over 30 countries worldwide; provide the cornerstones of Randwyck's success.

Maintaining long-term stable relationships with customers and ensuring flexibility in their customer-focused operation are key aspects of the company philosophy.
