Making coffee in your new Cafetière couldn’t be simpler and if you follow these easy to use instructions, you’ll enjoy perfect coffee every time!

Firstly, choose your coffee* strength according to taste and make sure that it is of a medium ground roast.

  • Pre heat the glass cylinder by filling it with hot water, dry and then add the coffee and pour over the nearly boiling water (Do not add boiling water). La Cafetière recommends 1 tbsp coffee per 160ml water.
  • Stir the mixture well with a large spoon to incorporate all the water with the coffee. And leave with the lid on and the plunger up for 5 minutes.
  • Slowly push the plunger down and serve the coffee as soon as possible with milk or cream to taste.

*Once your coffee pack has been opened, store it in the refrigerator, in an air tight container. This will keep your coffee fresh and ready for use next time.
